Driving Directions to Yoga With Balance, Navajo Dam, New Mexico.

From Denver, Colorado (Linda's preferred route, especially in winter)

  • Take I-25 south from Denver, past Pueblo, to the Walsenburg exit.
  • Go through Walsenburg, take U.S. 160 west to Alamosa.
  • At Alamosa, take U.S. 285 south to Antonito.
  • Go through Antonito, and take S.H. 17 west, then southwest, to Chama, NM.
  • Just after Chama, take U.S. 64/84 west.
  • At the fork in the road go left on U.S. 64 to Dulce, NM.
  • At Dulce, continue on U.S. 64, heading southwest.
  • At Blanco, by the Catholic church, turn north on road 4599.
  • Road 4599 winds around a bit, then turn right (east) onto S.H. 173.
  • Drive about two miles to mile marker 17, then turn right on the next dirt road (if you pass a sign for Cottonwood Campgrounds, you've gone too far.)
  • Go down a short but fairly steep hill, then turn right at the metal gate.
  • About 1/10 of a mile down this road, Linda's house, #25, is on the left. The yoga studio is the sage green building.

Alternate route from Denver, via Wolf Creek Pass (not recommended in winter!) (approx. 380 miles)

  • Take U.S. 285 south to S.H. 112.
  • Take S.H. 112 west to Del Norte.
  • Take U.S. 160 west over Wolf Creek Pass and pass Pagosa Springs.
  • Take S.H. 151 to Ignacio.
  • Take S.H. 172 south to the New Mexico border, where it becomes S.H. 511.
  • Take S.H. 511 south to S.H. 173.
  • Take S.H. 173 west. Watch for mile marker 18.
  • After mile marker 18, but before mile marker 17, turn left onto the dirt road.
  • Go down a short but fairly steep hill, then turn right at the metal gate.
  • About 1/10 of a mile down this road, Linda's house, #25, is on the left. The yoga studio is the sage green building.

From Durango, Colorado

  • Take U.S. 550 south to Aztec, NM.

  • Take U.S. 285 north to Espanola.
  • Take U.S. 84 northwest past Tierra Amarilla
  • Just before Chama, take U.S. 64/84 west.
  • At the fork in the road go left on U.S. 64 to Dulce, NM.
  • At Dulce, continue on U.S. 64, heading southwest.
